Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the practice of penetrating the skin with thin, solid, metallic needles which are then activated through gentle and specific movements of the practitioner's hands or with electrical stimulation.

Acupuncture is part of the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners believe the human body has more than 2,000 acupuncture points connected by pathways or meridians. These pathways create an energy flow (Qi, pronounced "chee") through the body that is responsible for overall health. Disruption of the energy flow can cause disease. By applying acupuncture to certain points, you will improve the flow of Qi, thereby improving health.

Cupping

Chinese medicine practitioners have been using cupping for thousands of years to treat a wide range of health problems. It is designed to help the body reduce inflammation by using suction. Think of it kind of like getting a massage in reverse.

Cupping can help athletes relieve muscle tension and tightness, but it can also help anyone with pain, stiffness or breathing problems.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Rather than prescribing specific herbs, Dr. Luo combines a number of different herbs in formulas selected depending on the patient's individual needs. These formulas may be given as teas, capsules, tinctures, or powders.

Like acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine addresses unhealthy body patterns. Doing so can restore balance and strengthen your resistance to disease.
